My fan is spinning at full speed!

It’s normal for the Apollo’s fan to go full speed during boot up and shutdown. When you first power on the device the fan should run at full speed then slow down, indicating it has booted.

When you shutdown the device in the menu, the fan should go full speed, indicating it has fully shutdown and is safe to power down the device using the power switch in the back.

If the fan does not slow down when you first power it on, this could indicate a booting issue and you might need to reflash your SD card.

There is no video on my HDMI Monitor

The Apollo needs the monitor connected and powered one before powering on the Apollo, otherwise it will not recognize the monitor.

Connect the HDMI cable to the Apollo, power on the monitor and make sure its input is selected to the correct HDMI port your cable is connected too.

You can then power on the Apollo and video should display after booting!

My node only has 10/64 connections

This is normal during node sycning, and connection count wont increase until after your node is fully synced.

If you are still seeing this after your node has synced, you will most likely need to port forward port 8333 to your Apollo IP address in your router settings.

Port forwarding is router specific so check your routers support on how to do this.

I cant connect to wifi

The Apollo wifi controller requires a 2.4ghz network to work. To set this on your wifi router there are options for either separating 2.4/5ghz networks, or an “IoT” network option.

Once you have this set reconnect your Apollo using the 2.4ghz only network and you should have more reliable wifi connection.

If the issue still persists it could be a range issue, so try moving your Apollo closer to your wifi router and see if that resolves.

My node is showing Errors during sync

Syncing your node is a very compute intensive process for the small ARM computer in your Apollo.

During this time the system might be unresponsive, and you might see timeout or connection refused errors in the node section.

Syncing a node can take several days to a week or more depending on your network connection. It is best to setup your Apollo and only check on it once a day or so during this sync period.

The more you use the system there is a higher chance it could freeze or corrupt the blockchain download, and you will have to start all over.

Once sync is complete the system will be responsive again and will be able to use it as normal!
